Turnstile / Privacy
Your data.
Your football.
Last updated: 1 November 2026
Turnstile is an app from 29twelve, developed by Ben Marsh. This page explains the information used by the app and this website.
Your account and football records
When you sign in with Google, the app uses your account identifier, email address and profile information supplied by Google to create and recognise your account. Turnstile does not receive your Google password.
We store the matches you mark as attended or planned, together with your optional settings, so you can access your records and calculate your personal statistics. Supabase provides the app’s authentication and database services. Your sign-in session is stored securely on your device.
What other supporters can see
The signed-in leaderboard shows attendance totals, rankings and a shortened display name: first name and surname initial, where available. It does not show email addresses. Your individual attendance records and travel settings are not shared through the leaderboard.
Location and football miles
The app asks for foreground location permission when you choose a location feature, such as nearby matches or ground check-in. Your GPS position is used on your device for those features; it is not stored in your attendance record or sent to the app’s database. Background location is not requested.
If you set a home area for football miles, a full postcode is reduced on your device to its postcode district before lookup or storage. The district is sent to Postcodes.io to obtain an approximate location. We store the district and its approximate centre, including the home-area snapshot associated with an attended match. Changing or removing your current home area does not erase those earlier snapshots.
Your optional home-country preference is also saved to your account. It is a preference you choose, not a GPS location.
This website and service providers
Netlify hosts this website and may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and secure it. Google, Supabase and Postcodes.io process requests needed for their respective app features under their own privacy policies.
Optional website analytics
When enabled on this website, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand visits, popular pages and how people find the site. It receives information such as the pages you view, browser and device details and approximate location derived from your internet connection, and uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_… to distinguish visits.
The Google Analytics tag only loads after you choose “Accept analytics”. Choosing “Reject analytics” leaves it off. You can change your choice or withdraw consent using “Cookie settings” in the footer; we then disable analytics and clear its cookies from this site. Withdrawal does not erase information already collected by Google. If analytics is not configured, the site does not show that setting or load Google Analytics.
We remember your choice in your browser’s local storage for up to 180 days. This preference does not track your visits. Google Analytics cookies may last up to two years unless you withdraw consent or clear them sooner. Advertising signals and ad personalisation are disabled in our tag configuration. This website integration does not add analytics to the Turnstile mobile app. See Google’s privacy policy for information about Google’s handling of data.
Links to match reports, videos or other websites open third-party services whose privacy practices apply when you visit them. If you use TestFlight, Apple also processes beta-testing information under its own terms and privacy information.
Keeping and managing your information
Saved records are retained to provide your account history. You can remove individual attendance records and change your settings in the app. To request access, correction or deletion of your account information, contact the developer. Signing out only ends the session on that device; it does not delete your account.
